Date: April 30th 2010
Hello District 15 Council Members,
I am writing to you tonight because you have an important responsibility to the members of your Toastmasters club. As a Division Governor, Area Governor, Club President or Vice President of Education, you carry votes in the upcoming District 15 business meeting. The business meeting will be held at the District Spring Conference in Boise, Idaho on Saturday, May 15. If you have not yet registered for the conference, you may do so on-line at http://conference.district15speaks.org/. Don't forget to bring your club banners as well for the Saturday morning banner parade.
As part of the business meeting, we will elect our District 15 leadership team for 2010-2011. Nominations have been closed for the elected positions. You may see the officer ballots on-line at http://conference.district15speaks.org/nominations_ballot.pdf. If you are unable to attend, you may appoint another member of your club to vote on your behalf by signing over to that person your Proxy, which may be found on-line at http://conference.district15speaks.org/proxy.pdf. A club member representing their club as a voting delegate may carry up to 2 Proxies.
Every club vote counts in the business meeting by setting District policy for the next year, but only if your club is represented.
I look forward to seeing each of you at the Spring Conference. I will send another message next week with additional details to keep you informed of the upcoming business meeting.
Cheers.
Dave Manning, DTM
