Greetings Fellow Toastmasters of District 15, From the desk of the District Governor: As we transition into the autumn, the excitement of the new Toastmaster's year continues to build. There are considerable efforts to bring about the best District 15 Conference possible. Keynote speakers will include Sheryl Roush and David Blanchard, along with fantastic speech contests lined up for November 13 and 14 in Salt Lake City. The Full Conference Package is still held down to $109 and you can register online at http://conference/district15speaks.org. As an added incentive, we will give a complete set of Advanced Communication Manuals to a club represented by attendees at the conference. You can learn more at http://conference.district15speaks.org/incentive.php. I look forward to seeing you there.

Our theme this year is Building Leadership, One Success at a Time. The number one goal for the District 15 leadership team is to help each one of our members to succeed. By helping you succeed, we become better leaders capable of helping even more people to become successful leaders. Share with us your ideas of how we in District 15 can help you to succeed by sending your suggestion to dg@district15speaks.org.

Dave Manning, DTM
District Governor

From the desk of the Lt. Governor of Education and Training: District 15 is looking for presenters for the Fall Conference to be held November 13-14 at the Red Lion Hotel, Salt Lake City, Utah. Any District 15 Toastmasters is eligible to present including Area and Division Governors and club officers. The only exception are those individuals who are competing in the Humorous Speech and Evaluation Contests.

District Governor Dave Manning's theme is Building Leadership, One Success at a Time. The Conference Theme is Celebrate Leadership. We are looking for presentations which would fall into one of three tracks: Communication, Leadership, or Personal/Professional Growth. The focus of these presentations should be to benefit the members and clubs of District 15. Toastmasters International has a number of modules you can select from or you can develop your own presentation. The sessions will be 45 minutes in length.

The presenter application form can be obtained from Dave Garbrecht at garbrechtd@yahoo.com or from Peggy Carr at rwmjgypsi2@aol.com. The application form must be returned no later than October 1 with your proposal. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us. We will be happy to assist you in any way possible.

Peggy Carr, DTM
Lt. Governor of Education and Training

From the desk of the Lt. Governor of Marketing: The time for payment of club dues is fast approaching. Now would be the time to Talk up Toastmasters. Why Talk up Toastmasters? This is when the proof is in the pudding. How many members in your clubs will renew? Make it a goal to have every member renew their dues. Help your members want to renew their membership; give them a reason to stay in Toastmasters. Dues are due Oct 1st.If you wait until the last minute to submit them, you may miss the deadline. As soon as six members have paid their dues, send them to TI.

It has also come to our attention there are several clubs who have not sent in their officers lists. This is a very important step; we cannot communicate with your club without the correct information. It is also one of the goals for your DCP. It is important that the District as well as TI have the correct information for your clubs.

Emmy Jones, DTM
Lt. Governor of Marketing
