Hello District 15 Toastmasters,
Or I should say, Merry Christmas, Happy Channuka, Happy Kwanza and Festivus, the holiday for the rest of us! Regardless of your choice of Winter-Solstice holidays, a common theme is the desire to re-connect with family and friends. Celebrate any or all of the opportunities to tell those near you, in one way or another, �I'm glad we enjoyed another year together. Your will companionship brighten the coming year as well.� I will summarize for the District 15 Leadership Team in saying, �Happy Holidays!�

As a friendly holiday reminder, the TLI (Toastmaster Leadership Institute) sessions are coming soon to a location near you. All club officers are expected to attend a TLI in January, and all toastmasters are welcome to participate as well. If you have never met the toastmasters from another club, this is a great opportunity to network.

Have you ever thought about advancing in Toastmasters leadership? Fortunately, Toastmasters International is eager to train you for such leadership opportunities. Nominations for the 2010-2011 District Leadership Team are open through the link http://officers.district15speaks.org/nominations.php. The nominations will remain open until March 15, 2010.

Let me finish this month's mailing by thanking every one of you District 15 Members. Although we have only finished half the Toastmaster's year, it has been a remarkable year, worthy of great celebrations. In July, I said that the District Leadership team is committed to helping our members succeed, and every week we see the growing success of our clubs as well as our members. And if you feel the district needs to do more to help your club succeed, by all means talk to your Area Governor and let us know what we're missing.
