Hello Members of District 15 Toastmasters, First let me extend a warm welcome to our newest members who have joined Toastmasters in the last month. You are truly beginning a fantastic experience of personal growth. Always remember that all of us in Toastmasters leadership are dedicated to helping you to build self-confidence, to become better speakers, and to grow into the best leader you can become.
This months mailing , fellow Toastmasters, is focused on the Spring 2010 District Conference, May 14-15 at the Holiday Inn, Boise Idaho. We are attracting members from all over Idaho, Utah, Nevada and even from other districts in Washington and Georgia. I can say with absolute confidence that this is going to be one of the best conferences we have ever had. You certainly will want to be in Boise for this one. Aside from wonderful speakers, educational presenters and incredible contests, we will be recognizing quite a lot of educational accomplishments, club growth achievements, and folks who have gone above all expectations to inspire us all with their leadership. At this point, I have bout about $700 in give-away prizes and that number just keeps climbing. We are giving away prizes to individuals and clubs for: * Submitting the most Competent Communicator Awards in a three month period * Submitting the most Competent Leadership Awards in a three month period * Adding the most new members since July 2009 * Having the most Conference First-Timers in attendance * Being a Conference First-Timer in attendance * And even more reasons to give prizes...
Don't forget also that we're asking clubs to donate gift baskets that can be auctioned off as a way of defraying the cost of a Conference. In the past, Conference attendees have taken home hundreds of dollars in gift basket merchandise for as low as a $20 winning bid. You can get more information about submitting a club basket at http://conference.district15speaks.org/Conference2010Baskets.pdf.
Of course, let me also pass on the crazy-low price for the Conference Registration. You can register at http://conference.district15speaks.org/ and select the Full Conference Registration for $89. Alternatively, you can select only the portions that interest you at the ala carte price. However, considering the $40 savings of $89 over $129 you would pay if you selected each option ala carte, the Full Conference Package is by far the best deal around. For payment we will accept a check mailed to our Registration Chair, Evelyn Peterson, or via PayPal.
I look forward to meeting and chatting with each and every one of you at the Spring 2010 Conference, so register today and plan to have a great time, make new friendships, enhance your speaking skills and win some prizes.
Cheers.
