You joined Toastmasters to improve your own communication and leadership abilities, not so you could end up on yet another unsolicited email list. As the collective leadership team at District 15 Toastmasters, we agree with you and support this stance of no-spam, no-abuse and minimal annoyance. However, the fact remains that from time to time, we need to spread information to each of you efficiently, which means relying on email. To balance the need for information sharing with your right to privacy, we promise the following rules concerning email lists in District 15: 1.Mail lists will only be used for official information releases, and never for commercial or solicitation purposes. 2.Email addresses will be protected as confidential information and will never be shared, or sold. 3.Requests for mail list removal will be honored promptly. Instructions for mail list unsubscribing will be included as part of all mass mailings. 4.All mailings will contain complete contact information of the mail list owner, including a physical address for accountability. 5.Except for urgent releases and information corrections, list mailings should not occur more frequently than once per month. We take our responsibility to enforce these rules very seriously. Please report any violations to abuse@district15speaks.org.
