The DEC meeting convened at 6:00 PM on September 12, 2023, with District Director presiding.
Members present were Sarra Idehen, Kandi Kutkas, Sameer Deshmukh, Maria Cervantes, Richard Carr, Peggy Carr, Debbie Crutchfield, Meg White, Al Kunz, Deborah Whitman, Steven Schofield, Tammy McMorrow, Pamela Lattin, Madeline Armendariz-Odeh, Trevor Nelson, Vy Nguyen and Regional Advisor Rose Kirland.
Members absent were Greg Alvord, Lionel Furness, Janine Donald, Christine Groberg, David Garbrecht, Annette Krause, Jaysee Jimenez, and Bryan Dowdy.
The following items were discussed:
- Minutes of the 8/8/2023 DEC meeting – Approved
- Recap of 9/9/23 District Retreat – 16 in person, 3 online. Training was held 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Progress on District 15 website updates
- Nine Horizon Award clubs – Boise Club, Image Masters Toastmasters Club, Box Elder Club, Twilight Toastmasters, Mt. Ogden, Wildcats Toastmasters, Pioneer Club, Jack C High, and Metro Toastmasters.
- Dedicated Zoom license for training.
- District Owl purchase – good investment. First use during District 15 Retreat on 9/9/23.
- PQD gave updates on success plans and area visits/reports. Encouraged all to keep due dates in mind.
- Presentation from Regional Advisor Rose Kirland who was visiting our club during the week of Sept 11 – Sept 15, 2023.
- CGD discussed social media – Meetup, Instagram, Facebook page and YouTube.
