The DEC meeting convened at 6:06 PM on November 14, 2023, with the District Director presiding.
Members present were: Sarra Idehen, Annette Krause, Kandi Kutkas, Sameer Deshmukh, Emily Lamoreaux, Richard Carr, Meg White, Madeline Armendariz-Odeh, Steven Schofield, Greg Alvord, Janine Donald, and Vy Nguyen.
Members absent were Trevor Nelson, Lionel Furness, Christine Groberg, Debbie Crutchfield, Pam Lattin, Peggy Carr, Jimmy Bell, Jaysee Jimenez, Deborah Whitman, Tammy McMorrow, Al Kunz, David Garbrecht and Bryan Dowdy.
The following items were discussed:
- Approval of minutes of the 9/12/23 and 10/10/23 meetings. Unanimously approved.
- Announced Member Satisfaction Survey and encouraged everyone to participate. Deadline 11/30/2023.
- Triple Crown pins and certificates were mailed to all division directors.
- Vy gave an update on changes and additions made to District 15 website.
- Announcement of campaign for clubs to reach 5 DCP goals by 12/31/23. Drawing in January and results reported at February DEC meeting.
- Area visits – deadline for second round of area visits 11/30/2023. Steve to complete Food for Thought and Clearly Speaking visits by Wednesday 11/15. Janine to complete Taxmasters’ visit this week.
- Club Coach – Sameer and George will host a Club Coach Q&A session on 11/16 6 PM. Email sent with meeting invite. Will work with Vy to add Coach forms on website.
- Member payments – 43 clubs paid as of this date.

- Reminder – Club Officer elections due soon for semi-annual terms of club officers taking office on January 1. Officer lists to TI by 12/31/2023. Semi-annual clubs: Jack C High, Parkway Pontificators, Dynamic Club, Idaho Falls Club, Utah Valley Club, Gateway Toastmasters
- Area Director reports 1st round due 11/30/23.
